About
Built for Scotland. For the rest of us.
I moved to Scotland from Canada a few years ago and honestly, I had no idea what I was getting into. Not just with the weather, but with the whole relationship people here have with being outdoors. Hills, lochs, coastal paths, mud. People just... go out in it. Rain and all.
Back in Canada I was never what you'd call a runner. I still wouldn't claim that title now. But something about living here made me want to try. The scenery makes it hard to stay inside. You step out the door and there's something worth moving towards.
The problem I kept running into, literally, was that a lot of activewear felt like it was designed for a gym in a city. Lightweight for lightweight's sake. Fine-looking on a product page but the first gust off a hillside and you're wondering why you bothered. Scottish conditions are not polite. They shift. They surprise you. Your gear needs to keep up.
Why Scotletics
Scotletics came from a simple frustration. I wanted technical running and active clothing that was actually built around unpredictable conditions rather than ideal ones. Gear that works at mile ten in drizzle and wind, not just in a photo shoot on a clear day.
Scotland felt like the right place to build that. Not because I'm a hardcore athlete with a list of ultra-marathons behind me. Quite the opposite. I'm building this for people like me, people who are trying to get out more, who want to move, who just need kit they can trust when the weather decides to do its thing.
Every piece we make is designed with that in mind. Real conditions. Real movement. No unnecessary fuss.
What we stand for
We're not trying to be the biggest name in activewear. We're trying to be the right one for people who actually go outside in this country and know what that means. Performance matters more than polish. Function earns its place before aesthetics do.
If you're lacing up for a trail run, a walk that turned into a jog, or just trying to get yourself out the door more often, Scotletics is for you. You don't have to be a serious athlete to deserve serious kit.
Welcome to the brand. Glad you're here.
